The High Planning Commission has reported a slight increase of 0.1% in consumer prices in January 2021 compared to the previous month. This was largely due to a 0.2% rise in non-food items, with significant price increases seen in fish and seafood, oils, and beverages. However, there was a decrease in the prices of vegetables, fruits, and meat. The overall index number of foodstuffs remained stable, and the core inflation index, which excludes items with fixed prices and high volatility, increased by 0.2% in January 2021 compared to the previous month, and by 0.4% compared to the same month in 2020.
