The MAP confirms the death of 10 more wild boars from swine fever, bringing the total detected in Catalonia to 26.

The Central Veterinary Laboratory of Algete (Madrid) has confirmed the presence of the African swine fever virus (ASF) in another 10 wild boars, which have been located in the vicinity of previously reported cases, in the municipality of Cerdanyola del Vallés (Barcelona). With these new positives, the presence of the disease is confirmed in a total of 26 wild animals in Catalonia. In addition, another 208 carcasses of animals found dead in natural areas or on roads and railways in the infected area and its surroundings have been analyzed and have resulted negative.
