The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has secured an initial batch of 15,000 vaccines against the presence of the contagious bovine dermal nodule virus (DNC), a disease that affects cattle and requires the adoption of measures for its eradication after being detected in two farms in Catalonia. Minister Luis Planas told journalists this Tuesday at the Conxemar Fair in Vigo that his department has been "in very close contact" with the Catalan government from the very beginning. Today, the second outbreak was verified in the Algete laboratory and Planas referred to the ministry's website, where eradication measures and the established safety perimeters are listed.
