The Egyptian Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Mr. Al-Quseir, announced the resumption of onion exports to Saudi Arabia after successful discussions with his Saudi counterpart, Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Fadhli. This agreement, facilitated through technical dialogues between the agricultural quarantines of both nations, marks the return of Egyptian onions to the Saudi market, aligning with the Egyptian Ministry's efforts to enhance its global export system. Since the beginning of April, coinciding with the new harvest season, Egypt has exported over 6,000 tons of onions to various countries, including Saudi Arabia.
