The Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of Egypt, Al-Qusayr, has met with a group of Arab and foreign investors at the International Conference and Exhibition for Fisheries in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He briefed them on the incentives provided by the Egyptian state to investors in the agricultural and fish farming sectors. Egypt has achieved self-sufficiency in fish production, with 2 million tons produced annually, including 80% from fish farming and 20% from natural fisheries. The country also imports 3% of fish species that live in cold water. The Egyptian state is welcoming foreign investment, with a boom in infrastructure during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
