It should not be expected in the coming years that the sown areas for soybeans and rapeseed will be reduced as a result of the introduction of the soybean and rapeseed export duty. This was stated by the Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine, Oleksiy Sobolev, in an interview with Latifundist.com. Commenting on the issue of a possible reduction in the sown areas for these crops, Sobolev said: "As for this risk, it is limited. The structure of sowings is determined not only by regulatory tools, but also by prices, crop rotation, agronomy, logistics, and demand. Currently, the load is less, producers have a margin of profitability, so if an area correction does occur, it will be moderate. The Minister also noted that his task is to ensure that state tools work for development. If we talk about additional stimulation specifically for soybeans and rapeseed, there is currently no such need. In 2025, 8 million tons of these crops have already been harvested, whereas in 2021, it was 6.4 million tons. That is, production is growing even without special programs," he summarized.
