[Korea Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper, Reporter Jo Young-kyu] The Korea Mushroom Producers Association delivered a plaque of appreciation to Lee Byeong-jin, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea (Pyeongtaek-eul constituency), on behalf of 50,000 mushroom farming households, for advocating the enactment of the "Act on the Promotion and Support of the Mushroom Industry (hereinafter referred to as the Mushroom Industry Act)." Lee Byeong-jin emphasized during the National Assembly's Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries and Food Committee's inspection of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in October that "mushroom media," including "post-harvest mushroom media," should be excluded from the application of waste regulations, and strongly called for the enactment of the Mushroom Industry Act. The Mushroom Producers Association was thus able to publicize the long-cherished project of mushroom farming households, which is the enactment of the Mushroom Industry Act.
