Yesterday afternoon, rural entities from Patagonia met with the head of the Agriculture Secretariat, Sergio Iraeta, and the president of Senasa, Pablo Cortese, with the aim of showing their rejection of Resolution 460 from that organization, which relaxed the sanitary barrier south of the Colorado River.
Accompanied by Carlos Castagnani, president of Argentine Rural Confederations (CRA), and in the presence of the Undersecretary of Agricultural and Forestry Production, Manuel Chiappe, the entities criticized the prioritization of economic criteria over sanitary and productive issues, and highlighted the risk that the measure poses to international trade.
