The annual report of the Regulatory Council of 'Quesos de Murcia' highlights a 17.4% increase in production, reaching 1.3 million kilos. The traditional goat cheeses of Murcia are the first in production and the second in exports at the national level. The main recipient of exports is the United States, with an increase in transactions next to 24% due to new trade agreements in 2021. The regional government has increased aid allocated to regulatory councils of Designations of Origin, Protected Geographical Indications and the Organic Agriculture Council by one third in the 2022 budgets.
