Inna Zaichenko, First Deputy Director of the Center for Grain Quality Assessment, provided updates on the quality of the new grain crop during a conference. So far, 876 thousand tons of soft wheat have been examined in 12 regions, with 29% classified as 3rd class, 65% as 4th class, and 6% as 5th class. The protein content in soft wheat has reached record highs of 12.8% this year.
