The article highlights the role of Rosselkhoznadzor in enforcing the quality and safety of imported grain processing products in Russia. The agency has identified 102 batches of these products, containing around 3.9 thousand tons, that fail to meet the Customs Union TR CU 021/2011 and national standards. The faulty products include malt with high mycotoxins and cadmium levels from Germany, Belgium, and the Czech Republic, rice cereals from Vietnam and India with pest contamination, wheat flour from Italy, Finland, and Great Britain infected with potato disease bread, and poppy from the Czech Republic with excessive cadmium. These batches have been sent back to the suppliers or destroyed. The article also mentions the implementation of the Government of the Russian Federation's Resolution No. 1079 on July 1, 2021, which reinforces federal state control and supervision of grain and grain processing products' quality and safety at Russia's state border.
