The Russian Grain Union has revised its forecast for the 2025 grain harvest to 132 million tons, according to the organization's Telegram channel. The wheat harvest forecast has been increased to 84.5 million tons.
At the same time, there is a significant reduction in the number of grain exporters compared to last year. In August 2025, 40 companies exported grain, whereas in August 2024, the number of exporters was 142.
Last week, 622.5 thousand tons of Russian grain were loaded onto ships in the port of Novorossiysk, including 590.4 thousand tons of wheat and 32.1 thousand tons of barley. This was reported by the agency Zerno On-Line, citing GK TBI/Logistic OS.
The wheat will be supplied to Egypt (98.9 thousand tons), Bangladesh (98.5 thousand tons), Sudan (71.5 thousand tons), Saudi Arabia (66.0 thousand tons), and other countries, while the barley will be sent to Egypt.
A week earlier, Novorossiysk loaded 471.5 thousand tons of grain, including 444.5 thousand tons of wheat and 27.0 thousand tons of peas.
