Russia is considering following Kazakhstan's example and starting to grow bananas, despite Ecuadorian bananas being cheaper at the moment, as part of a strategy to increase agricultural exports by 1.5 times by 2030, according to the country's Agriculture Minister, Oksana Lut. The ministry is also focusing on increasing the export of processed products like flour, meat, and dairy, while also ensuring that Russia's agricultural products are competitively priced and meet the requirements of buyers.
