The Spanish dehydrated fodder campaign ended on March 31, with a production of 1.26 million tons, marking a 13% decrease from the previous season. The production drop was observed in all regions, except Andalusia. The lack of water for irrigation and high temperatures led to a lower yield. The campaign saw dehydrated alfalfa bales as the primary transformed product, accounting for 55% of the total. The Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Dehydrated Alfalfa (AEFA) stated that the 2022-2023 campaign was positive, with strong demand both nationally and internationally.
