The global coastal variety campaign designed by INIDEP's "Coastal Demersal Fish Fishery Program," intended to research commercial fish species off Mar del Plata, is at risk of cancellation due to delays in repairing the main engine of the ship "Eduardo Holmberg." Initially slated to depart on November 10, the schedule has been extended multiple times due to ongoing engine issues, with the campaign possibly being postponed until the end of November. This marks the second year in a row that the campaign has been cancelled due to mechanical problems, with the last comprehensive survey conducted in 2005.
