The sugar beet harvest this year will exceed 48 million tons — Ministry of Agriculture

This is 6.7% more than the 2024 figure. As of October 2, Russia has harvested around 22.7 million tons of sugar beets—this is 14% more than the same date last year, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture reported. Among the regions leading in production are the Krasnodar Krai, Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk, Tambov, Belgorod, and Penza Oblasts, as well as Bashkortostan and Tatarstan. The department clarified that the average yield of the crop across the country has increased by almost 4%, to almost 384 tons per hectare.
