The Ukrдержфонд will perform the functions of the Paying Agency for the implementation of European support mechanisms for the agricultural sector, according to a decision of the Government.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has designated the Ukrainian State Fund for Supporting Farmers' Holdings (Ukrderzhfond) as the Payment Agency in the sphere of state support for agriculture and the development of rural territories. The corresponding order was adopted on December 31. The appointment of Ukrderzhfond as the Payment Agency forms the institutional basis for adapting the domestic agrarian sector to the requirements of the European Union. This is necessary for the implementation of the instruments of the EU Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and the subsequent attraction of European financial resources. This is the first step towards Ukraine's participation in European support programs for farmers.
