(Ulsan=Yonhap News) Reporter Jang Yeong-eun = The Ulsan branch of the Korean Pork Producers Association held a pork sharing ceremony for vulnerable groups in the region at the Ulju County Office on the 4th, as the year-end approaches.
The pork donated on this day is worth 50 million won, consisting of 85 boxes of 5 kg each. This will be delivered to 9 facilities for disabled residents in the region through the Ulju County Volunteer Center.
The Ulsan branch of the Korean Pork Producers Association has been continuing this event for the 14th year since 2012.
Yu Jae-hwan, head of the Ulsan branch of the Korean Pork Producers Association, said, "We have prepared a small token of affection by gathering the hearts of member farmers."
County Mayor Lee Soon-geul said, "The genuine effort and dedication of the farmers who have been with the local community for a long time is a great force in making Ulju County a warmer community."
