The UK Department of International Trade has announced new sanctions against Russia, including a ban on imports of wood, silver, and caviar worth 1,000 million pounds, and increased tariffs on products from Russia and Belarus by 35 percent, totaling 130 million pounds. The country has also imposed sanctions on 26 Russian individuals and companies, including the spokesman for the Ministry of Defense and the manufacturer of the AK-47, in an effort to pressure and isolate the Russian economy.
