The Volgograd region's mustard plant, 'Sarepta', has increased its export of mustard products by 2.3 thousand tons last year to foreign markets including Japan, North America, and Germany. The plant aims to increase exports by 1.5-2 times this year, with a goal of reaching 5 thousand tons. This increase will be facilitated by increased mustard sowing, both in the current region and other areas. The Volgograd region planted 34 thousand hectares with mustard last year, resulting in a harvest of over 14 thousand tons, the majority of which was exported. 'Sarepta' is Russia's only site for the production of mustard oil and processes at least 11 thousand tons of mustard annually, producing oil and mustard powder. The plant also plans to purchase new equipment for cake processing, which will allow for the production of feed.
