The article reports a nearly 10% increase in the transportation of fish and fish products from the Primorsky Territory of the Russian Far East by railway to other regions of Russia in the first quarter of 2024, totaling 201 thousand tons. The majority of the shipments were sent to the Moscow region, the Urals, and Siberia. As of early June, fish refrigerators in the Primorsky Territory were 27% full, storing 30.9 thousand tons of fresh frozen fish products. Additionally, the article highlights the ongoing fishery operations in the Far East, with over 1.67 million tons of aquatic biological resources caught by mid-June, primarily pollock, herring, and cod.
