Recent excessive temperatures have disrupted the dormancy of autumn crops and led to premature development in early fruit species in the Danube plain and southern regions of the country, according to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology. Agrometeorologists predict high temperatures will continue for the next seven days, potentially intensifying vegetation processes in winter cereals and perennials. However, a significant decrease in temperatures is forecasted for the latter half of the period, albeit without reaching critical minimum values for agricultural crops. The article also emphasizes the importance of prophylactic spraying of fruit trees with copper-containing fungicides to prevent infections from wintering pathogens and highlights the suitable conditions for plant protection spraying, feeding autumn trees with nitrogen mineral fertilizers, and pre-sowing treatments for early spring crops in the upcoming days.
