The 2025 wheat crop in São Paulo has a positive projection in volume and quality, indicated as among the best in recent years. This is according to Nelson Montagna, president of the Wheat Sector Chamber. According to him, based on the crop data obtained so far, a harvest close to 400 thousand tons is expected, above the 350 thousand indicated in the preliminary statistics. The data was announced on Thursday (16), during the third and last meeting of the entity in the year. The change in the scenario throughout the year was attributed to favorable climatic conditions. “Our initial forecast was for a smaller crop. I had already mentioned, in the last meeting of the Chamber, that I believed in one of the best crops in recent times, and this is being confirmed. The climate was excellent, which contributed to a higher quality compared to recent years and positively impacted productivity,” he emphasized.
