Starting July 2023, Paraguay will be required to obtain a phytosanitary certificate for soybean meal exports to Japan, adhering to the import license conditions set by Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF). This certificate must be issued after the products have undergone sanitary inspection. The export of certain vegetables and their derivatives may be prohibited in Japan to prevent the introduction of plant pests. Failure to present the required certificate will result in the rejection of the shipment, in accordance with Japan's Plant Protection Law.
