The Executive Unit Sierra Azul Fund (UEFSA) will launch the project "Recovery of the water sowing and harvesting service in productive water territory," which will allow the storage of up to 28,808 cubic meters of water for the benefit of 71 families from the communities of Unión Huallatiri and Totoruma, located in the province of Chucuito, Puno region. With an investment exceeding 2 million soles, the project includes the construction of five reservoirs for water capture and storage; and as another component, the reforestation work on 7.88 hectares, which will allow the natural recharge of water in the soil. Thanks to this initiative, technical training will also be provided to the communities for the maintenance of the infrastructure.
