On May 23, 108 tons of fresh peaches from Zaoyang Chunju Agricultural Co., Ltd. in Hubei passed inspection and quarantine by the Xiangyang Customs under Wuhan Customs and were exported to Kyrgyzstan, marking the first export of fresh peaches from Hubei this year.
Zaoyang is one of China's four major peach production areas, with 350,000 mu of peach cultivation and an annual output of 550,000 tons, ranking first in Central China. Zaoyang has over 40 peach varieties, including oil peaches, white peaches, red peaches, yellow peaches, and nectarines, with an early, mid, and late-maturing variety ratio of 4:4:2, providing supply from early May to late October.
In recent years, Xiangyang's fruit exports have shown a thriving development trend, with fruits such as citrus and grapes, in addition to fresh peaches, increasingly going abroad.
