This year, Russia's wild species catch has exceeded 2.2 million tons

Far Eastern Region: Catch volume of 1,694,800 tons, with Pacific pollock leading at 1,203,000 tons, followed by Pacific herring at 259,900 tons, and cod at 67,800 tons.

Northern Region: Catch volume of 167,500 tons, with cod as the primary species at 101,500 tons, and black cod catch at 28,000 tons.

Western Region: Catch volume of 46,900 tons, including Western herring at 28,400 tons and Baltic herring at 15,000 tons.

Azov-Black Sea Fishing Area: Catch volume of 21,700 tons, with anchovy as the main species at 12,600 tons.

Volga-Caspian Fishing Area: Catch volume of 44,300 tons, including Western herring at 21,700 tons and other common fish species at 9,300 tons.

In foreign economic exclusive zones, Russian fishing vessels caught over 237,200 tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.7%.
