Russia: This year's rapeseed harvest in the Leningrad region exceeded last year's by 13 percent

State support measures for rapeseed farmers in the region are increasing interest in growing crops, including winter rapeseed. Six farms in the Leningrad region received an amount of almost 1.2 million rubles as state support to stimulate an increase in the production of oilseeds, in this case rapeseed. This form of state support was introduced within the framework of the national project “International Cooperation and Export”. The Committee on the Agricultural and Fishery Complex of the Leningrad Region informs that at the end of the 2023 season, Leningrad farmers harvested 10.8 thousand tons of rapeseed, which was 13% higher than last year’s figure.
