In the year ending, Russia's top 10 grain export recipients took in 18.4 million tons or 57% of Russia's total grain exports. Turkey was the largest recipient, importing 7.4 million tons, or 23% of Russia's total grain exports, with wheat making up 4.6 million tons of that total. Egypt followed in second place, receiving 3.6 million tons, or 11% of Russia's total grain exports, also mostly wheat. Kazakhstan rounded out the top three, importing 1.8 million tons, or 5% of Russia's total grain exports, with wheat and peas making up a significant portion of that total. Other countries like Panama and Kyrgyzstan also imported significant amounts of barley malt and sunflower seeds, respectively, from Russia.
