During the first five months of 2025, pork exports from the EU increased compared to the previous year. There have been slight shifts at the top of the exporters, with Spain once again being the uncompromising leader, reports the Polish agricultural website Farmer. European pork exports benefit from the trade war According to data from the Agricultural Market Information Company (AMI), from January to May, approximately 1.8 million tons of pork were exported, representing an increase of 1.8% compared to the same period last year. Spain leads the ranking with about 608,000 tons, an increase of 11%. This represents more than ⅓ of the total EU pork exports. The Netherlands follows with exports of about 284,000 tons. During the same period last year, the Netherlands exported a similar amount. Denmark has overtaken Germany and is in third place with 212,000 tons (-14% year-on-year).
