The Turkish government has approved a new financial support model for agricultural producers, covering the period 2025-2027. The initiative, aimed at increasing predictability for producers, will extend support to a variety of crops including wheat, corn, barley, sunflower, rapeseed, soy, saffron, lentils, chickpeas, cotton, potatoes, and onions. Farmers will receive base support of $7.16 per hectare, with payments adjusted based on specific crops and other factors such as production technology and water availability. The new model also includes production planning and development assistance.
