Samsun, Turkey's largest city for fruit and vegetable production, is experiencing a summit in agricultural production. The region leads in the production of cabbage, red beets, and is in the top 10 for corn meal. There is ongoing development in Bafra and Vezirköprü Plains. The Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Sağlam, highlighted the region's potential in wheat and rice production, as well as the increase in sunflower and soybean production. There is also a focus on increasing cultivation areas for irrigable land, particularly in Vezirköprü, to meet the country's food needs.
