In July, Turkey's fruit and vegetable exports exceeded $155 million, with the Mediterranean region contributing $54.4 million. The country exported 179,400 tons of produce to foreign markets, with the Commonwealth of Independent States, the European Union, and Middle Eastern countries being the main markets. Exports to Russia saw a 53% increase to $83.1 million, while exports to Germany were $28.2 million. Iraq, Israel, Austria, and Saudi Arabia were among the leading importers. The best-selling exports included peaches, cherries, apricots, mushrooms, pears, and cherries, with significant increases in the export of mushrooms and pears.
