Türkiye's citrus exports experienced a significant increase of 16% in the first four months of the year, reaching $475 million and surpassing $1 billion for the first time. The exports to Iraq saw a dramatic increase of nearly 400%, making it the second largest market after Russia. The share of tangerines in total citrus exports was 49%, with notable increases in exports to Russia and Iraq. There was also a substantial rise in lemon and orange exports to Iraq, and tangerine shipments to Ukraine, Poland, and other countries also saw increased revenues. The country aims to further increase its citrus product exports to $1.3 billion this year.
