Ukraine and Japan will work together to clear landmines.

At the UMAC 2025 conference held in Tokyo, the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of humanitarian demining. This was reported by the Ukrainian department. The document officially cements the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), which plays a key role in supporting Ukraine in combating the mine threat.
