Ukraine's fruit export market has seen a significant rise in revenue from blueberry exports, positioning them just behind walnuts and frozen berries and fruits. With an impressive annual growth rate of 22-28%, blueberries, along with frozen raspberries, are the fastest-growing categories in Ukraine's fruit and vegetable exports. Despite the seasonal nature of exports from July to October, the interest in blueberry cultivation remains strong. This growth is notable against a backdrop of a global decline in blueberry trade volumes, with prices expected to stay relatively high. Traditionally, Ukraine has exported most of its blueberry produce to Poland, but in 2023, there has been a shift towards diversifying export destinations to include the Netherlands, Great Britain, Germany, and Spain, as exports to Poland have seen a decrease.
