In 2023, 24 thousand tons of chocolate and chocolate bars were exported to the European Union countries, with Ukraine being surpassed only by Switzerland and Britain. This is reported by "Slovo i Dilo." Over the past ten years, the European Union has increased its import of chocolate products, and Ukraine's share in it has also grown. In 2017, Ukraine sold 13.1 thousand tons of chocolate to the EU countries for 29.8 million euros. In total, the EU imported 282.7 thousand tons of chocolate. In 2018, the export of Ukrainian chocolate to the EU amounted to 17.4 thousand tons (5.6%), with a total value of 42.1 million euros. In 2019, out of 329.4 thousand tons of imported chocolate in the European Union, 20.7 thousand tons were from Ukraine (6.3%). EU countries paid 50.9 million euros for this.
