In 2021, Ukraine saw a significant increase in the export of meat and offal, with revenue rising by 30% to $846 million. The country achieved an all-time high in poultry meat exports, with a record 459 thousand tons, despite a 29% increase in its cost. The total volume of beef exports also saw an increase. The Middle East, Asia, the European Union, the CIS, and Africa are the primary markets for Ukrainian meat products, with the European Union accounting for 24% of their value. Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands were the leading importers of Ukrainian meat products, making up 22.5% and 14.5% of exports, respectively. China, the UAE, Slovakia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Kazakhstan also significantly contributed to the revenue from meat exports.
