From September 1, 2021, until the end of the year, Georgia saw a significant increase in mandarin exports, with a total of 22.8 thousand tons valued at $11.2 million. This represents a 49% increase in volume and a 53% increase in cost compared to the previous year. Russia was the primary importer, receiving 15,447 tons, followed by Armenia with 4,225 tons, and Ukraine with 2,160 tons. Other countries including Armenia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Slovenia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, and others imported a total of 4,225 tons. The mandarin export season in Georgia usually runs from late autumn to the end of the year, covering a period of four months.
