Ukraine increased beef exports in 2023

In 2023, Ukraine increased the volume of beef exports despite logistical problems caused by the war and strikes by Polish transporters. However, the volume of cattle exports by live weight has decreased compared to the results of 2022, - reports the analyst of the Association of Milk Producers Georgy Kukhaleishvili. According to preliminary data of the DSSU, in December Ukraine exported 1.51 thousand tons of live weight cattle, which is 62% more compared to November 2023. Revenue from delivered animals amounted to 2.28 million dollars. and decreased by 64% compared to the previous month. Last month, only clients from Lebanon bought cows in Ukraine. Compared to December last year, cattle exports decreased by 61% in physical volume and by 73% in monetary terms.
