Ukraine is losing breeding stock: The Kherson plant for breeding young fish is flooded

The Kherson production and experimental plant for breeding young fish, which is located in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region, is under threat of complete flooding. In particular, at one of its production sites in Gola Prystan, the water has already risen to 2.5-3 meters. The fish breeding area, the ponds of the breeding area, the pumping station and other hydraulic structures were flooded. The Novokakhovsk site of the plant is also at risk of flooding. Complete inundation can lead to the loss of the breeding population of fish and the exit of breeders and young people outside the territories.
