Ulsan Horticultural Farmers Association collects rice wreaths for the Ulsan Pear Festival and donates them to vulnerable groups.

(Ulsan=Yonhap News) Reporter Jang Young-eun = On the 21st, the Ulsan Horticultural Farmers' Association donated 40 packs of 10 kg of rice at the administrative welfare center in Beomseo-eup, Ulju-gun, Ulsan, for the vulnerable groups in the region.

The donated rice was collected from a rice wreath received in hopes of the successful holding of the "24th Ulsan Cup Festival," which was held from the 17th to the 19th.

The rice will be distributed to low-income vulnerable households in Beomseo-eup through the Beomseo-eup customized welfare team.

Kim Chang-gyun, chairman of the Ulsan Horticultural Farmers' Association, said, "I feel meaningful to share the warm-hearted rice sent to celebrate the Ulsan Cup Festival with the difficult neighbors in the region," and added, "We will continue to be a horticultural farmers' association that coexists with the region."

Kim Hyo-jun, the mayor of Beomseo-eup, said, "I congratulate the successful holding of the Ulsan Cup Festival and thank the Ulsan Horticultural Farmers' Association for practicing the joy of the festival through rice sharing," and stated, "The donated rice will be delivered to neighbors in need with warm care."
