At today's Government meeting, Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov reported on the export potential of Kazakh grain, reports Agrosektor.kz. According to the minister, the produced volumes of grain allow the country to fully cover its domestic needs while maintaining its export potential. As the head of the Ministry of Agriculture clarified, grain shipments from the previous season amounted to 13.4 million tons, which is 47% higher than the previous marketing year. "Such growth was achieved thanks to transport subsidies. We plan to maintain the level of exports, and therefore the measure has been extended until September 1, 2026," emphasized the head of the agrarian department. He also noted that this year shipments have begun to some non-traditional markets, such as Belgium, Portugal, Poland, Norway, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, the UAE, and North African countries—Morocco, Algeria, Egypt.
