The Union of Unions of Farmers and Livestock Farmers considers that the new Generational Renewal Strategy presented by the European Commission is "more a confirmation of a well-known problem, than a real advance in its solution." The organization criticizes that the document lacks its own funding and that it is not framed within a CAP and market and trade policies that dignify the incomes of professional farmers and livestock farmers. Therefore, the Union of Unions values the Strategy presented by the European Commission with reservations, as it recognizes the political magnitude of the serious demographic problem affecting the European countryside and sets a desirable generational renewal objective for 2040.
