Union of Unions of Farmers and Livestock Farmers, following the emergence in Spain of the animal disease affecting cattle, Contagious Nodular Dermatosis (DNC), demands that preventive measures be heightened and calls on the MAPA to advocate in Brussels for the need to carry out preventive vaccination against this disease, beyond the restriction zones, and a review of the protocols for this disease. Union of Unions considers "urgent" a "more solid and coordinated response" from both the European and national Administration to prevent possible new outbreaks, to limit the spread and mitigate the productive and social losses. This was conveyed this morning to the Subdirectorate General of Animal Health and Hygiene and Traceability, with whom, together with the rest of the sector, they met following the organization's request for an urgent meeting.
