The National Service for Agri-Food Health and Quality (Senasa) of Argentina has updated its resolution on the management of the Bovine Tick disease, introducing new strategies under Senasa Resolution 917/2024. The update aims to permit the movement of parasitized livestock from infected zones to uninfected zones for immediate slaughter, provided the slaughterhouses have a Senasa-authorized truck wash. The resolution also streamlines the process of the Inspection and Dispatch of Livestock Form (FIDHA) and imposes consequences for not reporting inspection results within the stipulated time. This regulatory change is part of the National Plan's efforts to enhance food safety and adapt to current industry needs.
