Uruguay: So far this year, the export price is 19% higher than 2024; this week it crossed US$ 5,700

In the last week, it was US$ 5,792 per ton, and although it was a week of low volume and many shipments to Europe, the annual cumulative amount continues to widen the gap with 2024.

So far this year, the ton of beef averages US$ 4,830, an increase of 19% compared to the US$ 4,063 recorded in the same period last year.

With data almost closed for June, exports to the US fell sharply -41% below a year ago- and a strong growth to the EU of 50%.

Sheep meat remains firm, with a weekly average of US$ 6,610 and an annual cumulative amount of US$ 5,236, a jump of 42.3% compared to the same period last year.
