From September 2021 to August 2022, the United States exported approximately 332,167 100-pound barrels of cranberries to Latin America, with Colombia being the second largest importer, receiving 12.5% of those exports. Colombian consumption of cranberries has seen a significant increase, rising by 80% from 2017-18 to 2021-22. The United States Cranberry Marketing Committee (CMC) anticipates a 15% increase in cranberry exports to Colombia, given the berry's popularity in the country. Despite Colombia's tropical climate, cranberries are grown in specific conditions in the northern United States.
