A trade mission led by USA Rice and members such as ADM Rice, American Commodity Company, Farmers’ Rice Cooperative, Sun Valley Rice, and Western Foods, recently took place in Jordan. The mission, which included a seminar for Jordanian and West Bank traders, aimed at sharing knowledge on superior storage and fumigation practices, and providing an outlook on the U.S. rice supply for 2024-2025. This initiative is designed to strengthen the relationship between the U.S. and these important export markets for U.S. medium grain rice, especially Jordan, the third largest buyer, and the growing market in the West Bank. The event was well-received, indicating a positive outlook for the rebound of U.S. rice sales in the region following a dip due to adverse weather conditions.
