Russian fruit and vegetable prices have seen a significant increase, with a 3.6% rise in just six days from November 6 to 11, following a 4% increase in the previous eight days, according to Rosstat. The most notable price hikes were seen in cucumbers (8.8%) and tomatoes (5.9%). Since the beginning of the year, potatoes have led the price growth, increasing by nearly 1.7 times, while onions, beets, and cabbage have also experienced substantial increases. In contrast, cucumber and tomato prices have decreased by 26.1% and 14% respectively over the same period. The overall price increase for fruits and vegetables in 2023 reached 24.19%.
